Residential Building

This thesis summarizes my work on a new apartment building in Slovany, neighbourhood in Pilsen. My primary responsibility was to develop documentation for the project´s design and implementation. The building consists of four floors above ground, an underground floor and a flat roof. The building´s L-shaped plan, rebound 4th floor above ground and balconies lighten the mass of the building. The structural system of the building combined reinforced concrete system of the underground floor, column system of the 1st up to the 3rd floor above ground and wall system of the 4th floor above ground. The building is designed for six residential units with cellars, two garages, a relaxation room and a gym. The thesis includes the preparatory and study reports, architectural and construction solutions, and fire-safety building and construction site equipment solutions.
TJ Sokol Pilsen Doubravka in the years 1900-1950

The thesis deals with the history of the Sokol Physical Education Unit Pilsen Doubravka in the years 1900-1950. It captures in which way the Sokol Physical Education Unit Doubravka developed, which historical events affected it either positively and negatively. The thesis is divided into a total of five chapters. The first of them is of completely theoretical character and the problematic of free time is processed here. The next four chapters deal with the Sokol Physical Education Unit Doubravka in the first 50 years of its existence examining the individual historical events which are arranged chronologically.
Pastoral activities in free time education

The diploma thesis deals with the cooperation of leisure time pedagogy and pastoral theology, in which pastoral activity is based, and about the existence of pastoral leisure time activities in the region of the city Pilsen. It consists of four chapters divided into smaller parts. The first chapter briefly characterizes pastoral theology, its methods, pastoral care, its methods and pastoral institutions. The second chapter describes the leisure time pedagogy, its specific methods, basic activities in human life and leisure time institutions. The third chapter is dedicated to a research, which is focused on the existence of pastoral leisure activities in institutions located in the regional city Pilsen. The last and fourth chapter describes possible ways of cooperation of leisure time pedagogy and pastoral activity through their own methods and institutions, which are typical for leisure time pedagogy and pastoral activities.
The changes of transport flows and accesibility in Pilsen region in relation to the settlement system

The issue of transport is currently one of the most discussed topics, thanks to deepening regional differentiation causing increased demands on the quality of existing transport links. Especially the attractiveness of centers and the existence of good transport infrastructure, stimulating the development of the region (his success), is becoming one of the most debated issues of our times. This diploma thesis deals with the comparison and evaluation of changes in spatial interaction in the settlement of the Plzeň/ Pilsen region in two time slices (1991 and 2001). Analysis of the interactions of traffic will be done by using statistical methods and using GIS technology. Main attention will be paid to the spatial differentiation of the frequency of traffic flows and transport accessibility. Subsequently, the transport characteristics will be compared with the characteristics of the complex importance of settlement, so the basic relationships between these indicators can be found. Political and geographical aspects of Pilsen's city development

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to briefly describe the city of Pilsen in terms of urbanism and to evaluate the progression of the city since the political changes in 1989. The first part of the text is based on the discription of the city and its main problems, the functional structure of the city and the key periods in the progression of the city. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to a comparison of the city's spatial plans of 1995 and 2005 and the analysis of the strategic plan. This analysis demonstrates the evolution of the city and compares the original expectations with the current situation. In the end the whole analysis is integretated into the political and economical context. The main point of this part is the intorduction of some controversial projects that makes the Pilsen's public to be more interested in the city problems. This conflict leads to increasing the interest of the public space by common people in Pilsen.
Repletion Municipal Plan as a Planning Tool - Documetation vs. Reality

Spatial planning is a science that draws from the natural, technical and social sciences, and also penetrates into the sphere of economic, social and environmental spheres. It also responds to changes in social conditions. The task of land use plans, as long document is to respond to past developments, contemporary trends and to support future development. Regional plans made in the 90 years later, in the environment of the new political regime had an important role to capture and promote regional development. Among the cities which have sourced a new political conditions, land use plan, and belonged to Plzen. The effectiveness of Pilsen development plan of 1995 was forecast over 15 years, until last year. In the case of efforts on the evaluation of the development plan, it is necessary to take into account the changing conditions in various companies. If we respect the impact of these changes, then evaluate the good or bad the plan is not possible. For this reason, in this work are treated to a sort of reflection on the repletion of the city plan of Pilsen.
Urban tourism in a regional centre Plzeň as a case study

URBAN TOURISM IN A REGIONAL CENTRE PLZEŇ AS A CASE STUDY Abstract The main themes of this thesis are urban tourism in important regional centre Plzeň, its present situation, tourism potential and future development. The aim of this assignment is to survey tourism in Plzeň. The preamble is devoted to general problems of tourism, methods for processing and evaluation of bibliography. The content of the next chapters describes assumptions and subsequently forms of tourism and their possible future potential. During a field research questionnaire survey with accommodation operators was made, which is evaluated in several parts of this work. The final section contains an evaluation of the issue. Religious press published in the first half of the 20th century in the West Bohemila

The aim of this thesis is to review the religious press, published in the first half of the 20th century in the West Bohemia along with its brief description. The first part outlines the situation which prevailed in our country in the first half of the 20th century, the political, cultural and social. Furthermore, I deal with events that were significant for the church at this time. At the end of the first part I mention the religious press published in the period, especially I will deal with Catholic titles. The second part gives an overview of believers in various churches in the years 1900 - 1950 and the situation that prevailed in the religious environment in the Pilsen area. The last part briefly describes each title in terms of formality and content. There is mentioned, who was editor and publisher of each title, who was redactor of a journal and where it was printed. I mention the periodicity of the title, the period in which the issue had been published, who was it aimed for and what was the content focused on.
Media and their management in the region of Pilsen 1945-1955

Diploma thesis "Media and their management in the region of Pilsen 1945 - 1955" deals with media management in the Pilsen region within historical context of the first decade after the Second World War. It starts with restitution of press in May 1945 and foundation of the radio station in Pilsen. It observes restitution of the journalist organization in Pilsen, including post-war purge of journalists. Further, it describes growing influence of the communist party on media management in the Pilsen region until February 1948 when the communist party definitively gained political power in Czechoslovakia. After the so-called Victorious February, the thesis deals with another wave of purge among journalists in the Pilsen organization and abortion of non-communist press. It introduces the process of nationalization of the printing industry and new goals for journalists and media defined by the communist party. Finally, it describes the first half of the 1950s when other press restrictions and reorganizations of the printing industry in the Pilsen region took place. It presents foundation of a censorship office, the Main Board for Publishing Control (HSTD), within the management of press and radio in the Pilsen region.
